I’m an Atlanta native. I grew up here, went to school here, and started my career here. For seven years, I ran a commercial concrete company in Cobb County. We started at $500K a year working as a sub to a sub to a sub. By the time the owners sold the business, we were doing $20 million in annual revenue, working directly with Walmart, Tractor Supply, Chick-fil-A, and the Georgia DOT.
The single biggest reason we scaled wasn’t the work — the work was always good. It was that we figured out how to actually get found by the people who hire commercial contractors. Website, Google Business Profile, reviews, content, link building — all the boring SEO fundamentals that compound over years.
After the sale, local business owners I knew kept asking me the same questions: “How did you get to #1 on Google?
